The Sangati Community Center for South Asian Music, located in San
Francisco's Mission District, is a non-profit performance venue that
hosts concerts of Indian classical music every week in a ground-floor
street corner gallery and performance space.
The Sangati Center is committed to serving local musicians and
listeners through hosting intimate, unamplified public performances,
and by representing both traditional approaches and new directions in
music. Not only have some of the greatest artists of Indian classical
music performed in its beautiful, small performance space, where no
listener is more than a few feet from the musicians, but many from the
Bay Area's own substantial talent pool can be found performing there
regularly.
Supported by donations, memberships, and concert attendance, the
Sangati Center invites you to attend an upcoming concert at the
intersection of 22nd Street and Shotwell. More information and a
complete concert calendar can be found online at www.sangaticenter.
