Kanwal Rekhi is a celebrated entrepreneur, a well known angel
investor in Silicon Valley, who was also a two-term President of
The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), Silicon Valley chapter from 1995 - 98.
Kanwal has mentored a whole generation of young entrepreneurs,
and was instrumental in globalizing TiE, and influencing important
policy changes in India.
As a generous philanthropist, Kanwal has given millions of dollars to
various initiatives related to education in India as well as in the U.S.
(Kanwal was co-founder of Excelan, which got acquired by Novell in
1989. Currently he heads Inventus Capital Partners, an early-growth
venture firm that invests in technology-powered companies
participating in the emerging Indian economy or new global markets.)
