Pratham USA is the largest nonprofit organization focused on primary
education in India. It was started in 1994, in the Dharavi slums of
Mumbai (where Slumdog Millionaire was filmed in 2008).
This show covers the opening remarks by Aruna Goradia,
(President, Pratham, SF/Bay Area chapter), an interview of Yogi
Patel, and comments by several passionate supporters of Pratham in
the SF/Bay Area, (at their annual gala event, called Colors of Hope).
The show ends with a piece of Sitar performance by Manjula Gupta,
accompanied by Shonaii Srivasatava on Tabla.
