The American India Foundation (AIF) is one of the largest
American organizations engaged in development work in India.
It was founded under the leadership of President Clinton, in the
wake of the Gujarat earthquake in India. In eight and a half years
the organization has raised $55m., supported over 100 NGOs in
India, and launched five signature programs to pursue its work
in the area of education, livelihoods, and public health.
Five Signature Programs of AIF:
1. Clinton Fellowship for Service in India
2. Digital Equalizer (DE)
3. The Learning And Migration Program (LAMP)
4. Market-Aligned Skills Training (MAST)
5. Rickshaw Sangh
AIF has offices in New York, SF/Bay Area, and New Delhi.
